Traci’s Wedding

January 16, 2008 by Scott Lessing

Here are some pics from Traci’s just before Christmas wedding. Holiday weddings are always fun, and although we didn’t have any snow, it definitely felt like winter. The setting at Richmond Hill Inn was really cozy too. For intimate weddings, not too many settings can top that.

I’ve also added a few vendor links, but I’m not done by any means so there will be more to come. I’ve also got to get my January Biltmore wedding up too.

Vendor Lists

January 14, 2008 by Scott Lessing

After six years of photographing weddings in Asheville and the WNC area, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many great vendors. Brides often ask me to refer them to various vendors and wedding locations and I thought it was about time I did a comprehensive list of wedding vendors who I often work with. There are so many great, talented and professional people working in the wedding industry in this region so keeping the list manageable will be no easy task. I will begin to add links soon, its definitely on my to-do list. As well, I need to get two recent weddings up here to share. Ok, time to get to it.

Jennifer and Paul’s wedding

October 28, 2007 by Scott Lessing

Jennifer and Paul were married in Blowing Rock on a beautiful recent fall afternoon.  We were fortunate enough to spend the following day driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway and photographing at various locations.  The weather cooperated wonderfully and it was great to just be outside enjoying the scenery.

Jessica and John’s engagement photos

October 28, 2007 by Scott Lessing

About a week ago I met with Jessica and John to do some engagement photos.  It might not look it in the photos, but it was cold, very cold! Neither of them seemed to show it and finally the sun came out and warmed us up. We had a good time talking, some about football. Seems my alma mater’s old coach, Steve Superior, uh I mean Spurrier is now their beloved Gamkecock’s coach. We both lamented some recent loses, which have since mounted considerably for both our teams, but there’s always next year.

Katie and Shane’s Wedding

October 4, 2007 by Scott Lessing

Katie and Shane had a super cool wedding on the lawn at Biltmore. At the reception Russ Wilson and his big band played. They were really cool and a welcome change from the typical wedding band. Both Katie and Shane’s family were really fun and making it hard to keep a straight face.  There were a few comedians in the family for sure.

The weather was great and the ceremony on the Tennis Lawn provided a beautiful setting, especially with the many decorative flowers.

Tiffany and Lawrence Wedding

September 27, 2007 by Scott Lessing

Tiffany and Lawrence were married in the Gardens at Biltmore Estate.  The day was beautiful and Tiffany rode up to the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage.

Afterwards, we headed back to the Inn at Biltmore for the reception.

Lisa and Adam’s wedding was at The Farm in Canton. The setting was complete with beautiful thoroughbred horses. The ceremony was outside next to the pasture in a wonderfully landscaped garden.

Sonny and Chelsea

September 12, 2007 by Scott Lessing

Chelsea and Sonny were married at the Central United Methodist in downtown Asheville. Their wedding was early in the wedding season, but may just end up being the most fun wedding of the year! The day was all about fun. All of Chelsea’s bridesmaids were energetic and funny. The friends and family of these two were exciting to be around and really knew how to keep the party at the reception going.

Gwen Ford from Wedding Inspirations was the coordinator. Gwen is an excellent coordinator, the most professional and pleasant of people. I’m fortunate to be able to work with her on so many weddings.

Their wedding was so perfect and the two of them such a cute couple that I added their images to a gallery on my website. Be sure and check it out at Scott Lessing Photography

I’ve also updated a couple other galleries, so check it out.

Amy and Jared

September 11, 2007 by Scott Lessing

Amy and Jared were married at the Grove Park Inn. It was a very extravagant wedding which was coordinated by Amy Moore from Its Your Day.
The ceremony took place on the veranda with the reception in the Grand Ballroom.

The Grove Park Inn provides such an elegant setting for weddings. The veranda looks out onto the golfcourse and then onto downtown Asheville in the distance.
Photographing weddings at the Grove Park Inn is exciting for me because of all the beautiful settings and the charm and character of the Inn.

Amy and Jared came from Charlotte to get married. Once again illustrating Asheville’s draw as a destination wedding location.

Richard and Karen were married at the Shetolah House in Highlands, NC. The mountain-top setting had a beautiful sunset and ceremony location. It was an intimate wedding with close friends and family.  Another great wedding in Highlands, did I mention I love weddings in Highlands?
